The sunglasses I purchased are darker than the picture, and I wanted the lighter one's!
The Polarized options are darker than the standard lens as pictured. We have reached out privately to offer an exchange or return.
The glasses were fine. The service is even better.
I have both versions of these sunglasses, I think the bifocal is better for reading , ,but like the graduated version for flying and driving . Nice glasses, especially for the price.
It's too bad these are only available up to 3.0 (looking for 3.5). These look identical to the Pilot 300 bifocals, which are only available in shiny gold, not black frames. Too bad. My top choices are disappearing.
I got these so that I could read my phone in the sun without doing the reading glasses shuffle. The non-polarized lenses allow clear visibility of phones and other screens, and the magnification is in just the right place. As an added bonus I have gotten a few compliments on how nice the glasses look.
I'm very happy with this purchase. My previous pair was not dark enough for bright sunny days in an airplane cockpit. These are and the A/R coating blocks glare about as well as polarized lenses but does not cause inverted colors on avionics displays.
Well built, comfortable sunglasses that are just the correct "darkness". Good size provides protection from the sun. Use in the cockpit.
These are great bifocal sunglasses. The lower bifocal lens are in the perfect position when driving so that I can clearly see the road ahead, then the bifocal starts at the top of my dashboard so that I can clearly see my dashboard instruments, radio, etc. The lens are nice and dark enough for those sunny Colorado skies. I used to have a different pair of bifocal aviator sunglasses, but the bifocal area was so small it was hard to see through it, but the bifocal area is large and easy to see through on these glasses. I would definitely buy them again.
