The progressive lenses in these glasses are great, a big help when going from normal vision to close reading. My only problem is the Clic design: a neat concept, but it doesn't work well with women's hair, as I have to keep adjusting whether the rectangular frame holds my hair down at the sides or pops up underneath in back. Would love to see some progressives in a more traditional style.
Great. This is only my 4th pair in more than ten years. They last. I only lost one pair, riding on a jet ski. All my fault, I Forgot they were around my neck.
I did not expect to like progressives, but several friends recommended them - and combining with clics makes them indispensable! I got used to the 'adjust focus by tilting your head' thing almost instantly. Unlike all the other readers I've plowed through, never loose them- but I'm ordering a spare pair anyway!
I bought these for my husband for his birthday. The frames extend to easily adjust, and he says they are comfortable. Magnification is good. I was a little hesitant due to another review saying the magnification wasn’t accurate. These are a little pricey, but if he doesn’t lose these, we’ll save money in the long run!
Very reliable and convenient. Not sure that I wouldn't have had better clarity with close vision if I had 2.75 rather than 2.5
I've had these glasses for much longer than a decade since CSI. I blindly and loyally just spend as much for one pair of specialty lens, upgraded newer modeled glasses, and I used to get 3 pairs of the same glasses that just came in the box for that price. Computer progressive? Progressive headache - but the subtle shape of the frames, other claims . . they are basic clic we got to be cool and not spend $100. Those days are gone. They are hot, but they are not worth that. They are gonna break after two years every time anyway, but at the other price it was no problem. Lens fall out, snap behind your neck etc. Everyone wants my glasses, now they can't afford them.
The Clic system is a game changer. I literally have a dent in my head from going Kojack style with my Foster Grants from Walmart. The Clics are great quality, a little more pricey and don’t have a progressive, but I don’t have a dent in my head.... as for the Readingglasses.com service- not so much. Ordered at 10pm on a Wednesday, paid for 24 hr FedEx, and received the glasses Monday afternoon....the bar on next day shipping has been raised and they fell very short of expectation.
Our apology for the delay. This was the period following the unprecedented zero-degree cold snap that paralyzed the entire southwest, especially Texas. Our electricity was out for just a few days, but the FedEx hub in Dallas was closed for a week. It took FedEx three full weeks following to catch up.
In the process of ordering (and confusion over my prescription) they suggested that I email it in. Within about 15 minutes I was called back and given very clear and straight answers. I have the computer glasses and love them. The only reason that this is a 4 and not a 5 is that I thought that I was getting the tinting for outside and the scratch resistant coating could be better. I do remember reading that you can order different levels of both, but that wasn’t available on checkout. Maybe because these were under “computer” and not there regular section? I plan to eventually order another pair, so they are still worth the money!
